A Bite-Size Read for Your Health & Waistline
Well, the New Year is officially in full swing. I hope this season brings you incredible opportunities, meaningful connections, and maybe even a few breathtaking adventures. Of course, it will also bring challenges, because that’s life. If you’re anything like me, you probably spent some time reflecting on the past year and stepping into January with big goals and fresh intentions. Yet somehow, it’s already back to the usual list of things to do and places to be. So, this year, I’m doing something a little different. Want to join me?
Let’s pause together for a moment and shift our focus. I call it noting your echo. Think of it as taking inventory of what you put out into the world last year and what came back to you. How did your energy—your words, actions, and intentions—resonate with others? How did your energy echo? Did you receive the kind of energy you wanted in return?
This is the essence of give and take. When we become aware of how we show up, we start to see the connection between what we give and what we receive. Not sure how your energy landed? Look to the people around you—especially the younger ones in your life. Notice how they respond to your presence and your energy. Think about your choices, your patterns, and how you move through your days. It all begins with self-awareness, and I know that’s not always easy.
Consider what you shared with the world in the previous year. Your choices, your habits, your relationships—all of it ripples into this new year. The best way to understand what we’re putting out is by noticing what comes back. For example, if clients are late paying invoices or constantly asking for discounts, it might be worth checking whether you’re doing something similar somewhere else in your life. Are you holding onto money or opportunities too tightly? I’m not suggesting a shopping spree, but when we understand how our energy echoes, we see that what we receive often mirrors what we give.
And if a new opportunity suddenly lands in your lap? Ask yourself where you’ve been generous—with your time, energy, recognition, or kindness. Sometimes the world’s response is simply reflecting your generosity right back at you.
Take a moment and notice what’s flowing toward you right now. It might feel a little spiritual, but it’s also deeply practical. If you’re craving something different this year, like a new direction, deeper connections, or a steadier rhythm in your wellness routine, that desire might be your echo calling you forward. What can you give or do differently so that your echo brings you more of what you want?
The New Year is here, full of possibilities and potential for personal growth. By paying attention to your echo and embracing the give and take of life, you set yourself up to create opportunities rather than chase them. Be the observer, the listener, the leader. Who you are and how you operate today will shape what unfolds in the months ahead. So, take a deep breath, pause for a moment, and note your echo.
