A Quick and Easy Full Body Workout to Support Fitness, Weight Loss, and Daily Movement
You’ve heard it. “Sitting is the new smoking.” And honestly, it’s true. Whether we’re working from home or in an office, sitting is probably the most consistent part of our day. So it’s no surprise that many of us are constantly trying to figure out when and how to fit in a little exercise. Good news, I’ve got the answer and it’s quick, easy, and totally doable. Say hello to the 30–30–30 workout.
So what is the 30–30–30 routine? No, it won’t rewind time and take us back to our 30s, but it might just be the fitness boost your body is asking for. It’s 30 pushups, 30 squats, and 30 crunches. That’s it. And for those who want a different version of this full body workout, here’s a fun variation. Try 30 jumping jacks, a 30-second plank, and 30 arm circles. Still too intense? No worries. If you have joint issues or prefer to stay seated, there’s a chair-friendly version too. That one is 30 leg lifts, 30 tricep dips, and 30 side bends. (See the pattern?) I’ll admit, I had to mentally gear up before doing them the first time, but you’ll quickly see how doable this is.
What I love most about this workout is how flexible it is. You can literally do it anywhere. At home, in your office, while watching Netflix, or even between Zoom calls. I used to do this exercise routine during commercial breaks back in the day when TV still had them. And now, if I’ve got two minutes before a meeting, I knock out a round. I even timed it. Each version takes less than two minutes. So yes, you absolutely have time for this. The point of 30–30–30 is to get us to move more throughout the day and support long-term weight loss and overall fitness. Like I always say, move your mass! Our bodies were never designed to sit for hours and then go hard at the gym once a day. We need small, consistent movement throughout the day.
And don’t worry about working up a sweat or messing up your makeup. This full body workout is gentle enough that your outfit, hair, and face will survive untouched. I’ve done it many times and I promise, you’ll still look great after. Plus, it’s totally flexible. Mix and match any of the movements above to create your own custom mini workout. It’s your body and your time, so make it yours.
Whether you’re looking to boost your energy, support weight loss, or just sneak in a little more movement during the day, this simple two-minute exercise routine can make a real difference. No equipment. No fancy gym. No excuses. Just 2 minutes of consistent movement for better fitness and a happier body.
So go ahead. Set a timer, stand up from your desk, and hit 30–30–30. Your body will thank you.
